Website Copy Writing is an Art
What is the use having a website if the copy is unprofessional or just plain to little.
I have been writing websites for the past twenty years and have learned that if you want to rank high you should have at least 250 to 300 words in your copy.
Then you should have a proper title of about 140 characters loaded with keywords and a description of say 200 characters again loaded with keywords in your meta tags.
Keywords tag in the meta tags seem not to count any more since it does not seem to be of any value to the search engines any more.
Then also is to add alt tag to the graphics with some keywords however the alt tag are actually meant as a description of the graphic.
You should also sprinkle enough keywords through out the body text of the website.
We all are dependent on link popularity as it seems to be favored by all search engines in order to gain a high page rank which in turn result to higher ranking.
Having a first page ranking in Google can be its worth in gold so many hits could be generated.
Traffic equals business and that for basically for free and can be achieved following a few simple rules without over doing it..
Years ago when Google was young I had a domain and manage to build up over twenty thousand hits a month. Generating me a nice income as a online casino affiliate.
Then to run only one website in my opinion you are wasting your time, what I did to work up thousands of hits is to run 1500 websites obviously having a link each to the main site each one properly optimized as well as I did a proper keywords research for each site.
As your link popularity increase the more hits you get and the higher the sites rise in the rankings.
